Niantic Lightship for Magic Leap 2

Lightship is Niantic's toolkit for creating immersive location based experiences and is now available for Magic Leap 2. Lightship offers robust tools for building location-based AR applications, immersive multiplayer experiences, and highly accurate environmental interactions.

Key Features​

  • Lightship VPS (Visual Positioning System): Lightship ARDK provides a way to persistently anchor content to real world location with centimeter-level accuracy.
  • Depth, Occlusion, and Meshing: Regardless of lidar capability, the SDK can occlude the environment at greater distance than lidar-based AR, making virtual elements appear more realistic by hiding or revealing them behind physical objects.
  • Semantic Segmentation: Allows segmentation for more than just people. You can use Semantic segmentation for mask generation and scene queries.
  • Object Detection: Supports over 200 classes allowing applications to be contextually aware.
