Upgrade AR Cloud

AR Cloud public releases are made available on GitHub. When updating AR Cloud, spatial data and Keycloak authentication data will remain intact. You can upgrade your installed version by folllowing the steps below.

Upgrade Custom Deployment or Cloud Provider Deployment​

  1. Download a newer release from Github.
  2. Set the same environment variables for AR Cloud used during the initial installation. Include GCP, AWS or Azure variables if applicable.
  3. Run the setup script again to upgrade the services automatically.

Upgrade Virtual Machine Image (OVA, UTM)​

When updating your Virtual Machine Image, it is recommend to remove your old installation and download an updated image directly from the Magic Leap 2 Developer Portal. Please note that the spatial data from the previous installation is not retained.
