The Packages view shows you what packages you already installed, what requires an update, and allows you to browse for new packages you want to install.

Install a Package

You can install packages based on what's suggested for you to add or update. Any package with a blue dot to the left of it is something you've downloaded previously that requires an update. Any package that has a checkmark to the right of it is something you downloaded that's up-to-date. Packages with a download icon either need a first time installation, or an update depending on whether there's a blue dot next to it.

To install a package, do the following:

  1. Search for the package you want to install. You can scroll through the options in the list, or click the filter at the top of the screen to bring up a list of categories to search with. Check the box next to a category you want to filter results with. Categories include:

    • New version available
    • Installed
    • Example
    • SDK
    • Documentation
    • Tool
    • MRTK
    • Unity
    • Unreal
  2. A list of packages that match with your category choices will appear. Select the one you want to install. A panel opens with more details about your selection - you can see whether it's installed and how many times you've made updates. If everything looks ok, click Install.

Install All Updates

If you see that updates need to be made to existing packages, you can install them all together by clicking Install All. A pop up appears displaying all the packages that will be installed. Click Install and ML Hub 3 starts installation. You can track status by each package in the Packages view - when the blue circle is a complete circle, installation for that item is complete. A checkmark appears to the right of the package showing it's installed and up-to-date.
