OS
The OS view provides details about what's installed on your Magic Leap device. See what you're currently running, or choose a different version of the OS if need be.
Install an OS
You can update to the latest OS, or go back to an old version if necessary for your application. Do the following:
- Click Select OS version directory.... A drop-down of available OSes appears. (If an OS is already installed, click the OS number to open the drop-down instead.)
Choose the OS you want to install. You can get the latest, or you can choose an older version.
In the Options section, click the checkbox Remove file after installation if you want to install and then get rid of the installation file afterwards.
Click Download Only if you want to download a copy of the OS, but you do not want it installed automatically. Otherwise, click Download & Install to automatically install the OS you selected.
Run Factory Reset
A factory reset erases all system and app settings, downloaded apps, images, video and other user data including your PIN. To factory reset your device, do the following:
On the OS Installer menu, check the Run factory reset box.
Click Download & Install.
The factory reset runs and wipes everything from your device.
