Applications

The App view lets you manage apps specific to your Magic Leap device. You can install, uninstall, and launch applications from here.

Capture

The Capture view allows you to record high quality video at up to 4K resolution and audi. While recording is active, the video stream in the Capture view is stopped. This is because the cameras on your Magic Leap 2 are being used to record video directly onto the device and cannot send the video stream signal to the hub. If you want to view a video stream in the hub of what you see in the headset, then use the Stream view instead.

Files

The Files view shows you everything that's available to you on your Magic Leap device's local file system. You can browse the different categories, upload, download, organize your files or delete information as needed.

Logs

The Logs view shows you everything happening while your device is running.

OS

The OS view provides details about what's installed on your Magic Leap device. See what you're currently running, or choose a different version of the OS if need be.

Packages

The Packages view shows you what packages you already installed, what requires an update, and allows you to browse for new packages you want to install.

Settings

The Settings view is for enabling analytics, setting a custom adb path if necessary, choosing your default SDK, and language. You can also choose the location for where you want your logs and streams to be stored and the install location for packages. Click Restore Defaults for any item to restore the original paths selected by Magic Leap. The Tools section shows you what version of Remote Render you have installed, if any.

Stream

Stream lets you initiate and view a live video stream from your connected device in The Hub. Stream differs from Capture in a few ways. The Stream view allows you to record video and capture photos of the video stream from your device, just like Capture does. Note that the recording quality in Stream is limited to 1080p resolution and is dependent upon the quality of your internet connection. If your internet connection is slow, you may see degraded quality in the streaming video. If you want to record video or photos with higher quality (up to 4K resolution) or if you want to include audio in your video recordings, try using Capture instead.
